Most people talk about pregnancy in terms of trimesters. But if you’ve ever been pregnant—or are right now—you know the journey of becoming a mother is far deeper than three neatly labeled chapters.
There are sacred moments in between. Spaces that mark you, stretch you, and prepare you for the transformation ahead.
As a mom of six and a birth educator, I believe that pregnancy isn’t just a season to “get through.” It’s an invitation to awaken to the divine work being done in and through you.
Let’s explore the five sacred stages of pregnancy that are often overlooked—but have the power to change everything.
1. The Secret Spark (Weeks 0–12)
This is the quiet beginning. The world might not know yet… but your heart does.
In this stage, your body is working overtime—creating life, forming organs, shifting your hormones, and calling you to rest. And yet, it’s often the season we feel the most unsure or anxious.
Journal prompt: What hopes are beginning to stir in your heart for this baby?
This is where the foundation is laid. Where prayer, nutrition, and early choices begin to shape your birth story. In The Strong & Sacred Birth Method, I teach mamas how to nourish both body and soul from this very first spark.
2. The Glorious Bloom (Weeks 13–26)
Energy begins to return. Your belly starts to show. You might feel the first flutter of movement. There’s a newfound joy in this stage… a confidence growing alongside your baby.
This is also the season many mamas choose to document with maternity portraits. While most of my clients come in for their session between 28–34 weeks, they typically book several weeks earlier to secure their preferred date and styling. My maternity portrait sessions are designed specifically for this radiant window — a reminder that your beauty isn’t just in how you look… but in who you’re becoming.

3. The Nesting Heartbeat (Weeks 27–37)
The pace slows again. Sleep becomes tricky. Lists get longer. But underneath the surface, your body and baby are preparing in quiet, miraculous ways.
In this stage, I encourage you to rest more intentionally… to prepare your mind and heart, not just your nursery. Inside The Strong & Sacred Birth Method, we guide you through birth planning, support strategies, and postpartum prep so you don’t enter birth depleted—but grounded.

4. The Birthing Threshold (Week 38–Birth)
There’s a sacred pause before the waters part.
This is where you stand on the edge of two worlds—one foot in pregnancy, the other ready to meet your baby. Birth is not just a physical event… it’s a rite of passage. A holy, stretching, breaking open of your heart and body.
Journal prompt: Who do I want to be in the birth room? What do I want to remember most?
We explore this deeply in the course: how to anchor into prayer, breath, and strength when it matters most—whether your birth unfolds as planned or not.

5. The Fourth Trimester (Birth–3 Months Postpartum)
The world sees your baby, but God still sees you.
This stage is often underestimated, but it’s sacred. Your body is healing, your heart is learning, and your identity is shifting again. You are not just "bouncing back" — you're being reborn too.
Journal prompt: What does my soul need most right now to feel held and supported?
This is why our course doesn’t stop at birth. It begins with postpartum in mind—because your well-being matters.
