 “What should I look for when hiring a newborn photographer?”

It's important to choose a photographer who specializes in newborn photography and has experience working with infants. Newborn photography is an unregulated industry, so you want the confidence that the person you hire has special hands-on training, plus health & safety training when it comes to newborns.

At my studio, I have years of experience working with newborns and their families. I'm dedicated to providing a comfortable, safe, and enjoyable experience for you and your baby. I have been certified by multiple agencies for newborn safety. I understand the importance of capturing these early moments, and I take pride in creating beautiful, timeless memories that you'll cherish for years to come.

“What can I expect during a newborn photography session?”

During a newborn photography session, I'll work to create a comfortable and safe environment for your baby and guide you through the posing process. You can include your family members in the photos, and I encourage parents and siblings to participate in this special moment. If you have any specific poses or props in mind, I'm always happy to incorporate your ideas and preferences into the session. To capture the best moments, it's important to schedule your newborn photography session as early as possible, ideally within the first two weeks of your baby's life. I recommend booking your session as soon as possible during your pregnancy to ensure availability.

“Do I need to bring anything?”

You don't need to bring much to the session as most of the items your baby will need will be provided by the studio, including props, backdrops, and blankets. However, I encourage you to bring a few personal items that you would like to incorporate into the photos, like a special blanket or toy (this is optional) as well as a pacifier. Even if you don't think you will be using pacifiers, I encourage you to bring one for the session, just in case!

“When will I get my photos?”

After the session, we will schedule your session viewing & ordering appointment, approximately 1 week after your session. This is where you will see your baby's images for the first time and make your selection from our collections. I offer a range of packages that include both digital files and prints. I'm happy to work with you to create a customized package that meets your specific needs. Your final edited images will be delivered 2 - 6 weeks after your ordering appointment depending on your choices.

“How much does newborn photography cost?”

 The session fee for a newborn photos is $295, which includes my time, use of all of the props, backdrops, accessories, during the session, plus family/parent/sibling posing and snacks during the session, as well as your viewing & ordering appointment after your session. We also include several emails to help you prepare for your session including styling guidance for the family images.

Newborn photography packages can range from $900 to $3,500+ depending on the package and any add-ons you select. All of my packages include both digital and prints of your selected images. All of our print products are created to last 100 - 200 years, so you will cherish them for generations!

I know this might seem like a significant investment, but keep in mind that newborn photography is a specialized service that requires a lot of time, effort, and equipment. I'm dedicated to providing high-quality images & products that you'll cherish for a lifetime.
